Continuing the Summer of Shannon
About 3-4 months ago, on a trip home from Switzerland, when I was contemplating where I was in the Universe... I made the statement that my next car would be a convertible. I love them and since I was single and a wee bit sassy and not having to worry about car seats, so it just made sense.
Fast forward to last week, when I decided I had enough of my 17 mpg SUV (on a good day!) and wanted to get into a car that would get better gas mileage. I stopped into the local GM dealer in WashMo and started talking to them and see if they could work me a deal, as my SUV was not worth much at this point. I was looking at the G6 and new Malibu.
I get a call yesterday that they were not able to get a good deal on either of the vehicles I was looking at, but that they had a brand new (500miles) 2007 G6 Convertible on the lot that they may be able to make a deal for...but only if I was interested.
Um, ARE YOU SERIOUS???
I hadn't even LOOKED at the convertibles thinking they were too high. Turns out they were very anxious to make a deal to get rid of this one. The payments are a little bit higher than what I was paying, but the amount of gas savings offset it.
Thus this is what I brought home last night:
It's Cute and Sassy, heavy on the Sassy!
Apparently the Summer of Shannon has paid off!
